Stacie Ku is wise and mystical, yet also well grounded and logical.  She demonstrates a great deal of patience and empathy, and never has a harsh word to say about anyone.  Often she introduces perspectives that broaden our horizons, as she draws upon eastern philosophy, spirituality and cultural teachings in her views of the world. She is consistently upbeat and optimistic, and shares with us the tales of her TG experiences and outings in the San Francisco Bay area. Stacie enjoys mainstream activities such as dining, shopping, symphony and theatre, although she has also been known to occasionally hit the town and dance the night away. She is playful and young at heart, yet has the maturity and wisdom to provide sound guidance, leadership and support to all of us at GenderEvolve.  Stacie, you are a true sister to us, and we value your contributions and input beyond measure.  We have gratitude, admiration and love for you!

Stacie's Gem of Wisdom: "... from walkers to occasional joggers, to serious runners, we encompass the whole spectrum. Some of us are aware of our gift, learn about it, use it; others ignore it. Some have the ability, but never use it. Some have the desire but no ability. Our gift is what we make of it. Just because we have it, doesn’t mean we use it. Me, I like to run."

Are We Circus Elephants? ~ Have you ever seen circus elephants? These big magnificent animals who are capable of lifting hundreds of pounds and 'knocking over tall buildings' are tethered to a small stake in the ground. Do you ever wonder why they just don't pull up the stake and run away?

The Biology of Belief ~ An interesting article in today’s (Nov 14, 2005) San Francisco Chronicle about a new book "The Biology of Belief” which triggered this train of thought. It is the author’s belief that our beliefs, not our DNA control our biology. Taking that premise to the extreme, might it be possible someday for someone to change gender simply by thinking about it; to change that little chromosome back to xx or xy??
