Transgenderism involves
manifestation of any point in
the spectrum between masculine
and feminine gender identity.
Some transgendered people are
occasional crossdressers, while
others transition from one
gender to the other on a more
permanent basis. Any
transgendered person has a
unique balance of male and
female attributes, specific to
his or her personal identity.
Today's primary challenge is the
fact that male-to-female
transgendered women are in
hiding due to social
discrimination and fear of
persecution. Transwomen
are currently denied freedom of
expression and the basic right
to co-exist peacefully within
society.
